I'm delighted. I thought the ground had gone on him but I wanted to support the race,. The Powers are great to train for and wouldn't have moaned if he had been beaten. I thought Jamie Spencer was going to ruin my day for a moment. He's been a great horse for me and has carried me for five or six years. I'm delighted he's won at home.

We have been very easy on him. We will never run him over six furlongs again we'll keep him over five furlongs. He came up against a very good horse in Artic over six furlongs last time out but I just couldn't believe a horse could beat him that far. We've changed his training routine in that he's in a companion barn and he hasn't worked with any other horses, we've just breezed him.

That was badly needed. That's it for the season for him, he was entitled to win this evening. He ran well in York but he didn't run a great race at Ascot as he got very upset on the way up to the parade ring.
