Tramore Sat, 15th Aug, 2026  Preparations She was very unlucky to be carried out. Sam was very good on her. He was very cool on her after it happened. He just let her get her own rhythm and get back into the race. He didn't panic going up the hill, he just waited until they got to the top and tried to creep back into it. It was brilliant watching the finish. We didn't mind which one won! She will go back over hurdles as well. We'll try find a similar contest to this one for the other mare. Tramore Thu, 13th Aug, 2026  Kasper Hauser We wanted to run in the first race over two miles. I couldn't take on Gavin Cromwell's (Luker's Tipple) because he won the other night and, obviously, had no penalty. We said we'd try the two-six; it had been the plan to kind of hold him up a bit because we don't know if he stays or not. At the end of the day, Calum wasn't given any instructions, so he did what he had to do and he gave him a great ride. The horse always felt to me like he wanted three miles. He wasn't getting home as a juvenile, but obviously he was too big and weak. He's just getting stronger and good ground is the key to him. We plan to keep him going until September. The allowance is massive today - we were getting 12lbs. He's won two now so the job is done.

Galway Mon, 27th Jul, 2026  Timurshah I’m delighted with him,. They are all good when you are going good and when they go bad then you’re only an eejit!. Conor gets on well with him. Once the horses are ready and they do what they’re told on them it works out sometimes. If it doesn’t work out it’s not their fault, it’s the horse, there is only so much they can do on them. He’s in again here on Friday. We’ll see how he is in the morning, that’s all we can do.

Kilbeggan Fri, 24th Jul, 2026  Kasper Hauser He was due that. Calum gave him a good ride and saved him,. His experience helped against the four-year-olds. Around here, when you are in front and you are jumping well, it's hard to get around them. I think the last time I was here was 2010. I got on a bit better today than I did then! It's a different capacity this time.

Wexford Fri, 3rd Jul, 2026  Pinot Gris We’re delighted with that. We said we’d try stepping him up in trip. He jumped well and I thought Darragh gave him a brilliant ride. He seemed to stay well. In fairness the last day it was two miles, they flew, and it was soft old ground. I’d say it was all a bit of a struggle and I’d say he’s not too keen on too much of a struggle. Today, in fairness, he was tough in the end. He jumped well bar the third last and did it nicely.

Leopardstown Thu, 11th Jun, 2026  Electric Beauty Electric Beauty a lovely filly and in those kind of conditions, she is hard to beat. I looked at the course-conditions last week and said if it turns up (soft) like that next week, we'll be here. She'll sneak in now at the bottom of the handicap in the Galway Mile, so that's probably where she'll pop up next. She's after having a hard season so far so we'll give her a little break to freshen her up first.

Michelle Connolly rang me to take a few horses, so this is great. I have eight in training and have plenty of spare stables. I'm 30, based in Monasterevin and have my license about two years. I do my own thing in the yard, so am learning from my own mistakes.

Punchestown Thu, 30th Apr, 2026  Busselton I thought the winning post would never come but what a great ride and a lovely little horse. It was a typical La Touche, it had a bit of everything. As I’ve said beforehand Joseph and his team had everything done with this horse. We didn’t have to do any schooling only do some little different things and take him to different places. If you gave me money to go out and buy a La Touche winner Busselton wouldn’t be the horse. He’s only about 15-3. Darragh sits into him so well and they are a great combination. He’s a great little horse, very sound, and everyone at home loves him. The good ground helps those horses (Flat-bred) get the trip. You won’t be seeing him in the height of winter. We may go to Killarney now for the long-distance chase there and try and do it all again next year. I think there is still more in him, he’s still only nine.
