Andrew McNamara completed the second quick double of the day (Tony Martin having the other one) as he guided Benalma to victory for Co Galway based trainer Pauline Gavin in the penultimate race on day one of the Killarney May Festival, the Flesk Valley Rowing Club Handicap Chase.

Back Of The Pack may have been the only mare in the seven runner line-up for the Grade 3 Dial-A-Bet 1800 721 821 European Breeders Fund Novice Steeplechase but she showed the geldings the way home with an impressive display under Michael Darcy at Cork. He was completing a double after an earlier win on Sabrina Harty's Silas Mariner.
