We're thrilled. Rachael said he must have some engine given how keen he was. They went no gallop and his jumping is very novicey for his first run and she said she had to help him a lot, but he only really missed one. She said he can only improve, she thought after a couple of hurdles he was just too keen. All that will come to him, he's just a big raw baby. The plan in the back of my head, if he won today, was to go to either Fairyhouse or Cheltenham for the November meeting. I'll see what Belinda, the owner, wants to do but he won't run before then. I won this last year with Bell Ex One and he was meant to go to Cheltenham, but got ring-worm. This lad might go there. R P Cody

Wed, 23rd Jul, 2025  On ratings and previous form over hurdles he had a lot to find, but he has always been a horse with a lot of ability and if the fences sparked him up at all we were hopeful of a good run and they did. He jumped brilliant for a horse on his first run over fences, he really enjoyed himself today and galloped out strongly. That's only my third ride since turning professional and it's great to get it. Gary Cribbin is my agent and I'm with Joseph O'Brien five mornings a week and go to Kieran Purcell as well, so I'm trying away. I'm 19 and rode five winners as an amateur, three on the track and two in point-to-points. R P Cody

After race at Dundalk Fri, 2nd Feb, 2024 (1st)  The last day was a non event, he stood in the stalls and the race was over. Lucky enough we were in last today which was a big help. His three runs before that were very good and I thought one day he might just come good. He's after running around 20 times on the Flat and has never won. Dylan said he was going to keep it simple today. He said if he came out, he would ride him real positive. If he fell in a hole up the straight, so be it. He stayed going. To win five lengths, I couldn't believe it. That was a 95 handicap - there was only one horse rated over 95 and the rest of them were in the 80s (and 70s), but he won well. He's basically running away here until he gets a bit of nice ground to go back over jumps. He wants good ground. He has a wind issue, so he gets away with it on nice ground. As soon as the weather dries up, he will go back over hurdles. He's a fine big horse and great to get his head in front. R P Cody
