The Stewards interviewed P.A.Fahy, trainer of Treacy's Star, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Rule 32, having failed to have his charge in the parade ring at a reasonable time before the signal to mount was given and having considered his record, the trainer was fined €100 and reminded of his future responsibilities in this regard.

An extended handicap steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards rated 0-109
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won.
Riders - Confined to Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii). Allowances (which are not cumulative, up to and including 8th January) who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed 4lb Those who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed 2lb No allowance to riders under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed.
