Following riders' reports in the first and second races to the effect that the bend into the straight was slippy, the bend into the straight was found to be unfit for racing. The Stewards were satisfied to allow 5f and 6f sprints to proceed, however abandoned races 6 and 7 of this meeting due to a slippery surface on the bend into the straight
