He deserved that. He's been running into some very decent horses in some of these maidens. We were beat a head (in Cork) by that very good horse of Joseph's (O'Brien, Enceladus) that went on to win at Royal Ascot and Goodwood and was second in the Leger after. I was confident that he'd win today and I thought he put it together nicely. He had his race won from a long way out. He just wouldn't be in love with very soft ground. It just blunted his speed a little bit, but he got through it.

It was a good performance by him,. He got beat half-a-length in Bellewstown in a three-horse race, but the race had two horses in it rated 96 and 98. That’s the reason there were only three horses in it. Those races should really be run at the Curragh or Leopardstown, but it happened to be in Bellewstown. Joseph’s horse beat me half-a-length and I think he’s a very good horse. I wasn’t at all surprised he won here today, in fact I quietly fancied him. He’s a lovely big staying horse. He did it very well in Galway (when winning his maiden) and he’s just maturing all the time. In Bellewstown, he was coming back at the line, that sharp mile-and-a-half around there was just a little bit tight for him. The extra distance played into his hands today, he’s a lovely big horse. He’s progressed as the year has gone on. We’ll speak with Barry (Mahon, racing manager) and speak with the family and make a decision then. The options are open.

A good battling performance, that's what it was. He ran a good race in Listowel the other day and he backed it up. A bit of guts and a bit of courage won the day. I know there is seven-and-a-half lengths back to the third, but the testing ground has to have an effect on the distances. A good solid ride from Chris Hayes as well. A mile is a pretty good trip for him at the moment.

She did that well. I'd say it was a fair contest,. Twenty-one ran and the second was six-lengths ahead of the third. You can argue maybe she was unlucky at the Curragh. She put in a very good performance and she's built on that today. Hopefully we'll get black type with her before the year is out. She's pretty adaptable trip wise. She has a lot of pace. In fairness to Chris, that's why he held onto her the last day because he knew she had an awful lot of pace. He was very happy with her today. He said she did everything very professional but he would have loved if he had something to race with over on the far side. She likes a bit of ease and is a very genuine, kind filly. Lots to look forward to.
