.We are going well now at the minute,. It is nice to get him in front. I put a big investment into a big gallop, deep sand, so it seems to be working. It is bringing the horses on and hardening them up. I'm right beside the Donegal GAA Centre of Excellence up in Convoy where the Donegal team train. Donegal excellence of horse racing now, hopefully!. Not really (worried about the ground) because he is working on deep sand all the time. It is good to be back! She loves it around here. She has been breaking badly lately over a mile and a-quarter - very quick at home, but breaking badly. A mile and a-half, she has more time to get to the bend. He (Hassett) told me at the start this was the plan, he was going to get her out smart and maybe give her one behind the saddle if we have to. I have to say with Wayne, it is like you are talking to Seamie (Heffernan) or Niall McCullagh. He's very good and a great understanding of a horse. I’m delighted Reese was able to ride a (first) winner for me, as he is apprenticed to me but has ridden winners for plenty others. That's his first double and he gave that horse a great ride, and knows him inside out. The owners (Up The Blues Syndicate) are a great bunch of lads and they love it. We have been unlucky with him, though, so the horse deserves it more than anything else. We were finishing second and third, and second and third, and had a few hard luck stories. Every time he was finishing placed, he was getting raised a pound or two so we said we would try something different and tried him over a mile and a-quarter the last day. He is versatile, but that is his grade. He has won on soft ground as well, so we don't know where we are going to go. As long as he stays running like that, we'll stay going. As long as he stays enjoying it, we will stay going. If he tells us that he has enough, we will pull the plug and give him a break and freshen him up and come again.

I suppose a little worry carrying that weight - it is hard to give away weight even though he is a very good horse. We love him and can't wait until he goes hurdling. He has been schooled and he jumps well. He doesn't want soft or heavy ground, so it could be spring or summer jumping. We wouldn't mind a day out in (Royal) Ascot with him on the Tuesday in the 2m4f handicap. We will probably run him in that for the owner.He'll stay on nice ground there. We think a bit of him, he has been rated that high since he was a three-year-old. He was bought as a little fun horse and he won first time for Hugo and Anne in Dundalk but had never won on the grass, so tonight was a breakthrough. Billy (Lee) was superb and I said to him he'll ride for a long time before he gives one a better ride. I love getting him when I can. We'll keep to those sort of races and over that distance and hopefully we can pick up another one. He won't jump a hurdle but will go on for the summer. Hugo and Anne are unbelievable owners to have, they get a good kick out of it, go everywhere to see their horses and we'd be lost without them.
