Kalix Delabarriere gave Sean Cleary-Farrell another big race win when staying on best to land the Killashee Hotel Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown.

The Willie Mullins-trained gelding was produced with a well-timed run to challenge on the approach to the last in the listed contest, worth €75,000.

He stayed on best on the run-in to record a four-length success at odds of 10/1. I'm Slippy was runner-up with Messerschmitt filiing the placings.

The Galiway gelding had also struck under the 7lb claimer at Fairyhouse, landing a €100,000 handicap hurdle at Easter.

Mullins, who was getting off the mark for the week, said afterwards:-

"It was fantastic for Sean Cleary-Farrell and the owners to win a big handicap hurdle at the Fairyhouse festival and come back to do that at Punchestown, in that sort of style.

“We might have to up him in class although I think we will put him away now and come back chasing next season.

"He disappointed me two years ago when I thought he would make a really good bumper horse but it has taken us another 18 months to get him right.

“He is by Galiway and he's probably not what the breeders had in mind for him, but is he is a lovely big type and has that 'kick' at the end of his races."
