Boasting an impressive strike rate of nine wins from 14 point-to-point starts, Ian McCarthy's Fountain House will undoubtedly be a popular choice with punters for the Ladies Cup at Punchestown on Tuesday.

Second in this festival-opening heat two years ago, the likeable eight-year-old was victorious in the Bishopscourt Cup 12 months later.

Now set for another try over the banks course, he'll be bidding to bring his winning streak to four, having won all three starts since the turn of the year.

"He was second in the Ladies Cup two years ago and last year he happened to win the Bishopscourt Cup," McCarthy reflected.

"We are aiming him back towards the Ladies Cup this year, and I'm really looking forward to it.

"He is brilliant, we have him a couple of years now and he has won nine point-to-points and two hunter chases.

"He rarely misses and is a very, very genuine tough horse. As a family horse, we get great enjoyment out of him."
