Latest Going including Galway update

Rain is on the way, but not yet, and the forecast predicts dry and warm weather for both of today's Irish meetings.

The ground at Kilbeggan is good (watering) for an eight-race card which gets under way at 4.30pm, while a seven-race card Flat card at Cork starts at 4.48pm and the ground there is described as good to firm (selective watering).

The going is Good for Saturday's eight-race flat fixture at Gowran Park where the action is set to begin at 1.40pm.

There will be no Irish racing this Sunday. The Galway festival begins on Monday evening and runs all the way through to Sunday of next week.

The current ground descriptions for Galway are: Good to Yielding for the flat races and Good for the national hunt races. Watering of the course is continuing.

There is the likelihood of light rain over this weekend in the Galway area.
