Punchestown will hold a 7.30am inspection on Thursday morning ahead of the afternoon fixture, with 15-20mm of rain forecast overnight adding to concerns about ground conditions.

Punchestown Inspection Called for Thursday Morning

Due to a possibility of 15-20mm of rain forecast overnight, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) has announced that there will be a 7.30am inspection at Punchestown on Thursday, 13 November, ahead of the fixture scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon.

Brendan Sheridan, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Punchestown said: "It is currently raining in Punchestown and following 22mm of rain yesterday and a forecast from Met Eireann for a further 15-20mm of rain tonight, there will be an inspection at 7.30am on Thursday morning."

Current Ground Conditions Remain Raceable

Sheridan added: "We had a dry morning and the ground has remained raceable. It is currently soft to heavy on the Hurdle track and heavy on the Chase track."
