Punchestown and Navan cancel while Dundalk postpone

Sunday's fixture at Punchestown has been cancelled. The track is unfit for racing as it is covered in snow. Navan is in a similar state and Saturday's meeting has been cancelled.

There are no such problems with the all-weather track at Dundalk, but in the interest of safety Friday's evening meeting has been switched to Sunday afternoon.

This means Dundalk will race on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons this weekend.

The original entries will stand for Sunday's meeting with declarations for both meetings on Friday morning.

Met Eireann are warning that the worst of the weather may be yet to come with heavy snow and freezing temperatures forecast for Friday.
