Wednesday's rescheduled meeting at Punchestown is already in some doubt after officials inspected the course this morning and found it waterlogged following heavy overnight rain.

A statement issued by the Turf Club read: "Following a course inspection at Punchestown, the course was found to be unfit for racing due to waterlogging ahead of the scheduled fixture on Wednesday.

"The course endured 29 millimetres of rain on Friday night and the situation will be monitored over the coming days."

The meeting was originally due to be run on Saturday January 9 but was one of many to fall victim to the cold snap.
