A first for Supple and Linehan

Top Strategy from the John Supple stable recorded his first win since 2006 when he took division two of the Motivate & Discounted Entry in the Evening Herald Handicap Hurdle making it a first in Ireland for the trainer.

Supple who is a brother of top flat jockey Willie Supple is based in Duagh in County Kerry and has about ten horses in training.

It was also a first for the jockey Maurice Linehan who is based with the winning trainer.

Winning trainer Supple stated: “That’s my first winner in Ireland and it was nice to get it.”

“I think the blinkers made all the difference to him.”
