Bolger's filly finally gets the Gold

Fri 22nd Jul 2011, 20:21

The Jim Bolger trained Gold Mirage overcame a string of placed efforts to gain a maiden success in the Slaney Handicap at Wexford this evening.

Ridden by Kevin Manning, the daughter of Galileo stayed on well inside the final furlong for a comfortable win over Un Hinged

Gold Mirage had finished ‘in the money’ on each of her last six starts without winning and Bolger’s representative Ger Flynn later reported “Kevin (Manning) was delighted with her and she’ll go for a similar contest next.”
