Light Brigade ran out a game winner of the Paddy's Rewards Club Handicap Hurdle at Naas for trainer Charles Byrnes.
The Leading Light gelding had opened his account at Fairyhouse in January and was making a successful handicap debut.
Kevin Brouder tracked the leaders on the 4/1 shot (backed from 6/1) before hitting the front turning for home.
His mount got a bit close to the last flight but found plenty on the run-in to hold the staying on Bythesametoken by three-parts-of-a-length.
Byrnes is set to start a six-month suspension on Thursday. He didn't comment afterwards.
