Canny Danny Mullins was again seen to good effect as Bitview Colin landed the 2m5f handicap chase.

The 11-year-old, runner-up at Limerick last week, was kept wide by Mullins who had employed similar tactics on his earlier winner Kingston Retreat

The winner made his move racing down into the dip and led after two out before going on to beat Malina Girl by five and a half lengths. Singing Banjo was another four and a quarter lengths away in third.

This was a sixth career win for John Ryan's durable veteran.

Ryan remarked: "He was a very good horse over hurdles and was rated 120 at one stage. He got a bad leg injury and lost a good bit of time. It's great to see him back. He would be classier than most of those.

"He is a half-brother to Waitnsee and is out of Madame Stella who was a good mare in France. He has the pedigree. It's grand to see him back and he'll go for something similar now. Danny gave him a serious ride."
