Chrysanthemum put in an excellent front running display to win the Listed Run Kildare 13th May Alleged Stakes for her trainer David Wachman with Wayne Lordan aboard.

Having opened at the 2/1 second favourite this morning, behind Zaminast at evens, the daughter of Danehill Dancer was well supported and went off the 5/4 favourite while Zaminast drifted out to 6/4.

Having lead out of the stalls she was ridden a furlong from home and kept on well under pressure to score by a length and a half from 7/1 shot Vivacious Vivienne back in second for Chris Hayes and Donal Kinsella.

Morning favourite Zaminast could only manage a disappointing fifth for Pat Smullen and Dermot Weld.

The winner was recording her second successive victory having won on her debut as a 4yo in the Group 3, Park Express Stakes over the course last month.

In total she was recording her fourth victory on her eighth career start (all runs have come at the Curragh). It was also her second win in Listed company adding to her two other wins which came in Group 3 class.

Winning trainer David Wachman said afterwards: "Wayne gave her a good ride and she did it well.

"There are loads of races for her now and we will take it one day at a time with her.

"She might go for the (Listed) Victor McCalmont Stakes at Gowran now (Sunday, May 6th). She is very capable over seven furlongs and a mile."
