Front-running Je T'ai Porte was the third big-priced winner at Ballinrobe today as the 22/1 shot led home a 1-2 for in-form trainer Gavin Cromwell in the KOG Logistics Handicap Chase.

Jockey Shane Fitzgerald was having just his fifth ride for Cromwell - and a first winner, on the Poetry In Motion Syndicate-owned mare which raced keenly but jumped well and won readily from stablemate Mister Wilson

Trainer Cromwell has hit top form recently and having registered five winners at last week's Punchestown festival, today's success maintained his winner-a-day average for the past 14 days.

Afterwards Fitzgerald reported “I tried to sit her in but she just runs very free and was doing too much the whole time. When I was joined going out on the final circuit she got lit up again, but when I was left alone after that, she was grand.

"She was leaning out the whole time and probably wants a bit of company in that respect, so the loose horse actually crowned her coming to the last, to keep her going forward.

“She has plenty of speed and put in a good round of jumping.”

He added “it's nice to get one on the board for Gavin as well. I only started going in there recently and he's been very good to me so far. He gives everybody that goes in there a chance and I'm very grateful for that."

Earlier outsiders to score at today's fixture were 40/1 chance Monty's Way and 20/1 shot Whatyouwant
