After winning the previous contest with Callthebarman Gavin Cromwell quickly doubled-up with Running In Heels in the Mullingar Handicap Hurdle.

Previously trained in the UK, and making her debut for Cromwell this evening, Running In Heels was sent off an 8/1 chance with Andrew Lynch in the saddle.

Settled in mid-division, the nine-year-old daughter of September Storm improved into a closer fourth with a circuit left to race.

She made further progress into second from three out and led from the next, going clear before the last, scoring comfortably by five and a half lengths. Brosna George (3/1) finished second under Robbie Power for Ross O'Sullivan, while the well-backed Crown Of Thorns (6s to 7/2 on-course) was a further two and three parts of a length back in third with Sean Flanagan aboard for Noel Meade. Fourina was sent off the 2/1 favourite and she finished a disappointing sixth with Ricky Doyle aboard for Mark Fahey.

Cromwell said afterwards: "I bought her at Doncaster in January for 2,500 pound and she's done it well. She jumps a fence and she'll stay going for the summer. She wants summer ground.

"When I bought the horse I had no owner and with the name it dawned on me after a few days it would be ideal for a ladies syndicate. My wife Kiva got on to her friends and there are 20 in the syndicate.

"The only thing is they are going to be spoiled as that is their first runner. Hopefully they will have a bit of fun with her over the summer."

STEWARDS REPORT

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fourina, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Kuiper Belt (USA), trained by W. Ross, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got tight for room after the 4th last hurdle.
