Daddy proves too tough for Love

Mon 8th Jun 2009, 19:00

Decoy Daddy could try his hand at chasing again after a hard fought win in the Abbey Hotel Roscommon Hurdle.

Robbie Power 's mount beat off the determined challenged of The God Of Love to land the spoils.

"It's great to win one with him. He's rated a bit high and is probably a genuine 119/120 horse. If he goes above that again we might have another go chasing," said trainer Tony Mullins.

"He was unlucky with three falls over fences but I don't think he is a bad jumper. I still think ge could be competitive over fences.

"It was great to see him battle back. He has run four times in the past three weeks and it will probably be a couple of weeks before his next run."."
