Dancing's bro Waltzing wins at Tramore

Sat 1st Jan 2011, 15:28

Waltzing Tornado ran behind Western Charmer on his chasing bow at Thurles in November and with the form of that contest working out reasonably well this full-brother to Dancing Tornado was another to emerge and win a race – the chestnut landing the S.E. Construction (Kent) Ltd. Beginners Steeplechase under Martin Ferris at Tramore.

Maurice Keane 's charge came home really well off a fast gallop set by Mission Possible and Golden Cygnet to prevail from the latter by four and a half lengths.

Keane said of his wife Bernadette's six-year-old: "He's a nice horse and he jumps really well. He took to the fences and we hope there's another day in him now. We'll go for a winners race next."

Keane has five horses in training at his Fermoy base.
