Niall Egan has made a good impression with a small string in his first year training and he saddled a second winner as Theoneyouare took division one of the Inpho Photography Handicap in runaway fashion at Naas.

The Curragh trainer, a brother of veteran rider John Egan, got off the mark with Elzaamone at his local track last month and Theoneyouare could hardly have been more impressive in this six-furlong event.

The 10/1 chance struck the front just after halfway, and stretched right away inside the final furlong under Chris Hayes to score by five and a half lengths.

Dee Sprinter took the runner-up spot with Cactus Tree a further length and three quarters back in third. Maggie Thunder completed the places in fourth.

Egan said, “She was very good. I bought her as a yearling and she has just come into form this week. She’s just started to blossom.

“She’s not that robust so I wouldn’t run her again next week. She’s just come right and I’ll give her a little break now.

“It’s good for the owners who are from Hong Kong. They have been very patient with me and the horses.”
