Navan's concluding Irish Day at Navan Beginners Chase went to Claire O'Connell's Dara Whyte who wrapped up a memorable week for Paddy Flood following his Cheltenham victory, while the win was giving the trainer a first win since taking over the licence from her Al with only her second runner.

"Today is my first day so I should give up now with a 50% record!" joked the winning trainer.

"We always thought a lot of this fella even though he had a few niggly little problems."
