Invincible Don was the one for money in the Mallow Print Handicap Hurdle, and the John Morrison trained five-year-old justified market confidence as he landed the spoils under Paddy Mangan.

The five-year-old son of Invincible Spirit won a handicap on the level at Tramore in June and he finished a close up fourth on his last start at Tipperary, in the race won by Knockcroghery.

Back over hurdles this evening, he was 6/1 this morning with Paddy Power, opening on-course at 5s before being heavily backed and going off the 7/2 clear favourite. Hurricane Jojo was sent off the 9/2 second favourite and coming down to the last she held the advantage under Mattie Bowes, with the winner in second.

A more fluent jump at the last swung the initiative in Invincible Don’s favour, and he kept on best on the run-in to score by a length and three parts from the aforementioned Steven Ryder trained filly in second. City Line (7/1) finished a further four and three parts of a length back in third under Eddie O’Connell for Karl Thornton.
