Hit It A Bomb stepped up to Listed company in impressive fashion when hacking up by four and a half lengths in Dundalk.

Aidan O'Brien 's charge maintained the unbeaten start to his career with a comprehensive beating of his five opponents.

On his only other appearance, he landed a 22-runner maiden at the Curragh last month by a neck.

The War Front colt was settled in third by Joseph O'Brien as Tonkinese set the fractions from Siamsaiocht in this seven furlong contest.

He travelled powerfully to race up on the outside of Siamsaiocht a furlong and a half out. He then moved to the head of affairs with over a furlong left and readily left his rivals in his wake when asserting in the final 200 yards.

Aidan O'Brien said: "He's a very nice horse. He's come on well from his run at the Curragh and this race was important as he'll learn from it as well.

"He could go for the juvenile in Keeneland. He has plenty of speed and you need to be quick around there."

The winner was returned the 2/5 favourite. He was popular throughout the day as he was backed from 8/11 to 1/2 before racing commenced. Siamsaiocht took second place at 8/1.

The first four races at Dundalk this evening have been won by the favourites.
