Kapard made it two from two over flights as she took the Kehoe Farming Rated Novice Hurdle.

A winner on debut at Roscommon last month, the Henry de Bromhead trained four-year-old proved easy to back this afternoon and went off a 3/1 chance, having been as short as 13/8 in early shows.

Settled towards rear by Rachael Blackmore, the grey victor took closer order from three out and was pushed along in third as they approached the next.

Ridden before the last, she came through to lead on the inner on the run-in, keeping on well to prevail by a length and quarter.

The Simon Torrens ridden Make Good who was returned the 2/1 favourite, lead entering the straight, but soon edged right and had no more to offer once headed on the run-in. Fortune Street (5s to 7/2) finished a further two lengths back in third.

de Bromhead, who trains the winner for Alan Halsall, said: "I'm delighted with that. She is a big baby but a lovely mare.

"Rachael was brilliant on her, she gave her a great ride and just nursed her around there. I left Rachael do whatever she wanted to do, she knew her so it was her gig and I thought she was brilliant.

"I think she will get further in time. We are still learning about her so we will just keep educating her and see how we go.

"She'll have to step-up in class now, we'll look for another novice and there is a few options. We'll take it one race at a time with her."
