The Robert Tyner trained Black Of Koeman (3/1jf) was the well backed winner of the opening and attritional Tickets At fairyhouse.ie Rated Novice Chase at Fairyhouse today, scoring under jockey Philip Enright. Fit To Be Tied and the other 3/1 joint-favourite La Bella Vida casualties at, respectively, the first and second fences while Uaintseenothingyet was a faller at the second last fence when close up. At that penultimate fence, jockey Enright had yet to make his move on Blast Of Koeman whom he produced to lead jumping the final fence. At the line, the winner beat Robin Des Mana comfortably by two and three parts of a length.

Jockey Enright later stated “most of his dangers fell. Mark Walsh (on Uaintseenothingyet) looked to be travelling well when he fell at the second last and La Bella Vida went earlier which made it easier.

“He got a lovely tow into the race and he progressed well from his first run over fences. He’s a horse that always had a turn of foot but Davy (Russell on Robin Des Mana) was left in front a long way and I was able to have a run on him and winged the last.”

Blast Of Koeman, having his second start over fences, had initially been backed from 9/2 this morning and from 4/1 on track, in to 3/1 'joint-jolly'.
