The Stewards interviewed Eoin McCarthy, the rider of Lion Na Bearnai concerning the use of his whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.

Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Eoin McCarthy had used his whip with excessive force and frequency and therefore suspended him for one raceday. (TBC)
