Newcomer Broad Street provided Declan McDonogh with a treble, and Dermot Weld with a double, as he took the last at Navan, the navanadventuresports.ie And Multiactivity Pack Maiden.

Available at 10/3 in early shows, the son of Sea The Stars came in for plenty for market support, opening on-course at just 7/4, before going off the 11/8 clear favourite.

Settled behind the leaders on outer, he was pushed along to lead from the furlong pole, and was ridden out from there to score by a length and three parts. Lucius Tiberius (8/1) finished second under Emmet McNamara for Aidan O'Brien, while Echo Park (33/1) was another three and three parts of length back in third for Tom Madden and Ger Lyons.

Weld said afterwards: "He's a nice colt who is still a bit green and raw but the potential to be a nice horse. We'll look at the Silver Stakes at the Curragh in three weeks’ time.

"He's always shown promise at home. He's grown and is even in a growth phase at the moment. He’s a medium-sized colt that is after filling out and the bit of time is paying dividends.

"He worked very nicely the other morning and he did what we thought he would do."

The winner, who holds entries in the Irish and English Derby's, is out of Bracing Breeze who won a maiden at Dundalk in 2012 for Weld.
