Second over the course and distance in November, Morosini returned to please many with his win in the featured www.corkracecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle today.

Mark Walsh rode this fellow, over J P McManus’ other three, Campeador Dont Kick Nor Bite and The Gatechecker

Walsh was spot on, and so too were those that sent Jessica Harrington’s charge off the strong 9/4 favourite.

Seeing as he’s only a five-year-old, there should be plenty more to come from the successful Martaline gelding, given the ease with which he accounted for Hareth and The Gatechecker.

The winning distances were six lengths and two and a half lengths.

"That was lovely, he ran well here the last day and he has his own old way of jumping and isn't great at some of them. It was good to win with him and his jumping was good up the straight," said McManus representative Frank Berry.

"I'm sure Jessie will find another handicap for him down the road somewhere. I don't think he jumps well enough for two miles and finds it easier over 2m4f."

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Guard Of Honour trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
