Members of the Altar Ego Syndicate enjoyed an excellent result in the Matchbook Betting Exchange App Handicap at Cork today as their Noirvento scored for the second time this year, for trainer Tracey Collins.

The daughter of Le Carde Noir carried form figures of '5132' into today's contest and gained a half-length win, under jockey Ronan Whelan, over Bellick

Trainer Collins later stated “it is fantastic as the 24 member Altar Ego Syndicate is from our local pub the Croft Inn, down the road. They are all friends of mine and they got this filly last year and she was quite limited but they decided to hold on to her and she strengthened over the winter and hasn't run a bad race all year.

“That's her second win and this is what racing is all about — syndicates getting in and enjoying it. It is great excitement and all the guys are staying down tonight.

“She will stick to six and seven furlongs and she is ground dependent but is hardy as a nut.”
