Owenacurra Lass (6/1) landed the Tramore Racecourse On Instagram Handicap Hurdle to enhance her good record at the venue.

Declan Queally kicked her into the lead running into the dip on the final circuit and the 8-year-old (another winner on the card for Gold Well) stayed on well to defeat Capture The Action by a length and a half.

The 5/6 favourite Tullyveery Lad was closing in fifth but had a fair bit to do when running out approaching the second-last.

The winner won a maiden hurdle under Frankel’s jockey Tom Queally at the New Year’s Day fixture here last year and has been runner-up on her other two visits to the track.

It was a double for the Queally yard after Young Fitzy in the opener and the winning rider, who assists licence-holder Declan senior, said: "That's great and I'm particularly happy for Pat Crowley who pre-trained this mare and only sent her to us about a month ago. Pat pre-trains for us and he done a great job with her.

"When you look back at her form from last year she was as high as 113. If she was to come back to that today we thought she would have a great chance because she loves it around here.

"She was a little bit long at the last and stumbled at the back of it but she got away with it and stayed going. I'm hoping I'll be able to ride as a conditional at Mallow on Sunday, declarations are in the morning."
