Paulie scores for Power/Murphy

Sun 24th Apr 2011, 15:47

The Colm Murphy trained Captain Paulie under Robbie Power, was the narrow winner of the Munster Waste Management Handicap Hurdle at Cork today.

The son of Lahib was all out to hold the challenge of Old Theatre Royal on the run-in, for a short head win.

Afterwards Murphy stated “I’ve no idea what happened to him at Wexford the last day but he is a horse who’s had a lot of problems. We’ll go for something similar at Punchestown next but anything we win over hurdles is a bonus as he is a real chaser in the making.”
