It looked straight-forward for Declarationofpeace on paper in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race and so it proved in the race itself.

Donnacha O'Brien tracked the leaders on the 1/7 shot and he moved up with ease to challenge a furlong-and-a-half from home.

The son of War Front hit the lead passing the furlong pole and just needed to be kept up to his work in the closing stages to post a cosy length-and-a-half success over Boragh Steps

The winner was taking a significant drop in class having finished seventh in both the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Middle Park Stakes on his last two outings.

He had won his maiden over course and distance back in May.

“I got there way too early and he stopped when he got to the front. He’s plenty of speed and it’s good to get him another win,” said the winning rider afterwards.
