Pollen completes fabulous four-timer for Stack

Sun 21st Mar 2010, 16:21

Pollen completed a remarkable four-timer for Tommy Stack in the Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes at the Curragh.

It was also a double on the card for Billy Lee, who sent the mare to the front over a furlong-and-a-half from home in the Group 3 contest.

The winner was strongly pressed by 2/1 favourite Devoted To You inside the final furlong but pulled out all the stops to score by a head.

"That's unbelievable. We should run a few more here!" said Fozzy Stack.

"That's probably her now. She's won the Lincoln last year and won here. She loves the ground. I don't know what's next for her. That was her Derby.

"I was quite pally with John Mulhern and I think he must be looking down on us. That's the only explanation I have.

"The two-year-old was doing plenty and she was mad fit. The only one I thought might need the run was Zorija Rose and she won the easiest!"

It was a 4003/1 four-timer for Stack, who scored with all four of his runners on the card today.
