Value At Risk could be stepped back up in class and trip for a shot at the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.

The three-mile Grade One prize is one of a number of options trainer Dan Skelton is weighing up for the seven-year-old following his recent return to form.

After failing to fire over fences earlier in the campaign, Value At Risk rewarded the Alcester handler's decision to revert to hurdles with a victory in a Grade Two event at Fairyhouse last time out.

He said: "It was great to see him do something like that as I've always said what a nice horse he is.

"He will have an entry in the Champion Stayers Hurdle and we will probably enter him in a handicap at Punchestown. He will also be in the Listed hurdle at Sandown on the last day of the season, while he could go to France at the end of the month for a Listed race there.

"A lot depends on what Thistlecrack and Alpha Des Obeaux do, while if Blue Dragon turns up in France, I imagine we wouldn't go there."
