Sam Adams leads the way at Limerick

Sun 5th Apr 2009, 16:28

The Paul Nolan trained Sam Adams under Alain Cawley, ran out a game winner of the Meteor Mobile Novice Hurdle at Limerick today.

Sam Adams tracked the leaders, improved to lead in the straight and battled well to defeat Bit Of A Devil by a length and a half.

Afterwards Nolan reported "that was a good performance and he'll go to Punchestown next. He may step up in trip and better ground should suit."

However, he added "Sam Adams has a little wind problem but it doesn't appear to be stopping him and we'll get it operated on if he stops winning! The ground was a little too tacky for him at Naas the last day and it was my fault he was beaten as we allowed the leading pair to kick away from him early in the straight, leaving him in no-mans-land"
