The Jessica Harrington trained Satin made most of the running under Shane Foley to fend off all challengers in the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap at Killarney.

An impressive winner of her maiden at Listowel last month, the Kerry air clearly suits the daughter of Australia. Last seen when a slightly unlucky in running fourth in the Ulster Oaks at Down Royal, the Sarah Kelly owned three-year-old gained some measure of compensation here.

Quickly into stride under Shane Foley, Satin led into the straight but appeared to have a battle on her hands as both Marvelosa and Chocolat Blu travelled strongly in behind.

However, once Foley asked the Harrington trained filly to lengthen, she found plenty for pressure, keeping on strongly to win by two-and-a-half lengths.

Shane Foley: "She got back a bit in Down Royal the last day but jumped smartly today. There was nothing too keen to get going in the first furlong so I went on and she got into a nice rhythm and did it well.

"She was very impressive in winning at Listowel but things didn't go right for her the last couple of runs but she showed it today. She is idle enough and was having a good look but did it nicely."
