Instant Impacked (4/1) recorded his third success of the season as he took the Ladbrokes Handicap Chase for Robert Tyner and Phillip Enright.

The 8yo son of Marignan won a handicap chase at Ballinrobe in May and scored again at Tramore in August before following up over the course and distance today.

He tracked the leaders for much of the contest and was fourth at the halfway stage.

He made headway to lead at the second last and he asserted before the final fence, keeping on well to score comfortably by six lengths.

The 7/4 favourite Claragh Native still had a slight chance at the last when attempting to chase down the winner but he fell. Character Actor filled the runner-up spot at 9/1 under Martin Ferris while Turtle Gale was a further nineteen lengths back in third at 8/1 for trainer Pat O’Connor.

Winning trainer Robert Tyner said afterwards: "We were hopeful of a good run but he was ten pounds worse off with Claragh Native today (from when they met over the course and distance in August). We were eight and a half lengths in front of him that day.

"He is fresh and well in himself and the ground isn’t that bad out there.

"We were going to bring him to Galway but when this was rescheduled we said we would come here instead as he likes it around here.

"He ran poorly in a bumper at Galway earlier in his career so he is only a maybe to go back there now in around seventeen days time."
