Tip Of The Spear finished best of all to land the Racing Again Tomorrow Handicap at Cork.

The handicap debutant had won a backend maiden at the Curragh last season and arrived here completely unexposed.

It was a nice performance taking on much more experienced rivals in his first handicap.

The Andrew Kinirons trained four-year-old should improve with this run under his belt and looks one for premier handicaps in time.

Kinirons added; "it is easy say it now but we expected that as we think he is a serious horse. My horses weren't 100% in the autumn but he still won his maiden.

"He was a big raw horse and has strengthened up over the winter and his work up the Curragh is unbelievable and would put you in good form!

He is very exciting and I rang connections a few weeks ago and we stuck him into the Mooresbridge Stakes - I know it is optimistic but we know what we have at home.

"We'll now see what the handicapper does but he could be anything. Gavin said he was fresh and took his time from a not-great draw.

He is very exciting for us to have - I'd say I'll struggle to hold on to him now but we'll see what happens."
