The 40K Bar One Racing 'Bellewstown' Handicap Hurdle, most valuable event of the three days on ‘the Hill’, went to Winner Takes Itall (6/1).

With just 10 stone on his back, the Simon Torrens-partnered winner led travelling well after the third-last and ran out a comfortable four and a quarter length winner from Wouldn’t You Agree (3/1).

The winner completed doubles on the card for owner J.P.McManus and trainer Joseph O’Brien after Persia in the opener, and it was an across-the-cards treble for O’Brien after the 2-year-old Hadman won the first at Naas this afternoon.

The victorious Nathaniel 6-year-old was winning for the second time over hurdles to go with two wins on the level.

“That good ground is important to him and he did it really well,” said Torrens.

“It was my first time riding him.

“I’ll leave plans up to connections but I’d love to ride him in a Galway Hurdle if he does end up going there.”
