Trevaunance posted a fine front-running performance to run out an impressive winner of the opening Yeomanstown Stud 'Camacho' Irish EBF Fillies Maiden at Cork this afternoon.

Jessica Harrington 's charge had won a barrier trial at Dundalk in June and was a fast-finishing fourth on her rules debut at Gowran Park over seven furlongs last month.

The Moyglare Stud-owned filly bounced out in front today, under Shane Foley who wound things up from the two furlong marker in the mile contest.

Trevaunance was asked to stretch away over a furlong out and the 2/1 favourite went on to post a two-and-a-half length victory.

There was a good duel for the runner-up spot in the closing stages with Thoughts Of June also in the Moyglare colours, edging out Red Azalea by a head.

The trainer's son in law Richie Galway said afterwards:-

"She bounced well, Shane got her on the front travelling nicely through the race and it was a lovely performance. She picked up very well in the straight and it was a taking performance.

"There were a couple of dangers in it but she won snugly.

"She is a big filly and you'd hope she will improve again. She is a lovely straightforward filly and it was lovely to get a winner with a nice filly for Moyglare.

"She is a next year project and Jessie will obviously have a chat to the Moyglare team and decide whether she goes again."
