Dual-purpose performer Yafordadoe (13/2) registered his third win on the Flat in the TipperaryRaces.ie Handicap.

The Zebedee gelding tracked the leaders before challenging widest of all in the straight. He collared the front-running Big Island inside the final furlong and stayed on well to defeat that rival by a length and a quarter, with Loingseoir coming through to dead-heat with the latter for second spot.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained winner has also won twice over hurdles, and had been runner-up in a premier handicap at Listowel just over a week ago on his first outing since January.

Winning rider Gary Carroll said: “He is a good, consistent, honest horse. He has a habit of being slowly away sometimes but jumped very well today, travelled and handled the ground well.

"I won on him as a three-year-old, he stays further and that was a great pot to win."
