Zaarito bids to redeem reputation

Colm Murphy's Zaarito attempts to sign off on his novice chase career with a win at Punchestown on Tuesday, in the Grade 1 Growise Champion Novice Chase at the Punchestown festival.

A faller on four of his seven chase starts, the gelding appeared to have the measure of eventual winner and tomorrow's rival Jadanli when falling at the third last fence in the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse recently.

Improving handicap chaser Saddlers Storm, who unseated his rider in the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National, is also among the eight runners while Willie Mullins is represented by Cheltenham runner-up The Midnight Club and Kempes, which disappointed in testing conditions in the Powers Gold Cup.
