< Canary Row again showed how tough he is with a well-deserved Listed triumph in the Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes at Killarney.

Just four days on from his third in a Curragh handicap, Patrick Prendergast's durable campaigner had his sights raised and was one of three trying to peg back pacesetter Duchess Of France passing the furlong pole.

Ronan Whelan eventually got the 15-2 shot in front and he held on by a length from Bumbasina with Duchess Of France fending off favourite Psychedelic Funk for third.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained Kew Gardens proved much too good for his rivals in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

The 4-6 favourite, who was only seventh on his Curragh debut just over a fortnight ago, sat outside the front-running Peace Princess before being unleashed two furlongs out by Donnacha O'Brien, and he strolled four and a half lengths clear of Tonkin

Team O'Brien completed a double thanks to Abyssinian s impressive victory in the Irish Examiner Race.

Having just his fourth start, the 8-13 favourite controlled the pace and when challenged by Sea Swift had plenty left in the locker as he came three and three-quarter lengths clear again.< Dalton Highway and Aljunood combined to give Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen a brace on the card.

Dalton Highway took a little bit of time to master long-timer leader Hyperdrive in the Easy Clean Limited Handicap but eventually did so, justifying 15-8 favouritism by a length.

Aljunood was all the rage for the Pitchsupplies.ie Maiden and defeat never looked in doubt as the 2-5 favourite dictated terms to suit himself and stretched three and a half lengths away from Kings Inn < Rosin Box (14-1) stuck her neck out to land the Celtic Steps Handicap, while 7-1 chance Cosmic Symbol picked up well to take the Diarmuid Cronin Electrical Apprentice Handicap.
