Bat proves Masterful under O'Donoghue
Bat Masterson ran out a convincing winner of the C&F Green Energy Handicap at Roscommon under Colm O'Donoghue. Mon 09th May
when Bat Masterson ran at Limerick, Paul (Carberry, jockey) said that the horse thought that he was going to sink on the heavy ground . he's only a small horse. After that we gave him a bit of a break. Blinkers helped today and he stays really well. We'll see what rating he gets and find something else for him before the end of the season. I would say there is a Flat race in him as well.
Noel Meade
The longer trip helped him and I'd say he's improved a bit,. He was bought out of Darley and was a late foal so he's only starting to improve now. He wants that mile-and-a-half and I would even say a mile-and-six would suit.
Noel Meade
