Walsh suffers injury scare at Clonmel
Ruby Walsh suffered an injury scare a week before the start of the Crabbie's Grand National meeting after spraining his left ankle in a fall at Clonmel. Thu 31st Mar
Going back in trip wasn't any harm to him and he jumped well. We'll try and find something between two miles and 2m4f now. I don't think he is trip-dependant but he jumps well enough to go at the minimum trip. We're in no rush and will look for another race next month.

It was a nice performance. We were a bit wrong at the weights but a Coral Cup winner in the past - he’s always a class horse. He benefitted from the run here at the Festival (when unplaced in a Grade B handicap hurdle). He didn’t run too bad that day for a first run back. He was a bit fresh early but got his head down when it mattered.

That was a great performance. Paul said he was very green and wanted every inch of it. We will probably move him up to three miles at Punchestown. He's learning all the time. Jumping is his game and he'll go chasing next season. I was hoping he would go well but that is better than I thought he was at this stage of his career. I haven't spoken to Ruby yet but Invitation Only moved nicely into the straight and then went out like a light. There may be something wrong with him. Livelovelaugh got into a bit of trouble but then ran on nicely.

He’s improving with every run and he’ll probably head to Punchestown and go novice chasing next season. He could go out to two and a half miles (at Punchestown) but we’ll decide closer to the time when we see what we have.

he worked very well last season but disappointed when we brought him to Newbury for a bumper. We had thought he could run in a Cheltenham bumper as he was working so well at home. He then fell over hurdles and we put him away and he’s come back more like the horse he was showing us last year - maybe he just needed a summer's grass. That was a fantastic performance and I'm not sure where he'll go - we'll see how he comes out of this first.
