it's a great day as the whole Coakley gang are here! . He has grown up a lot now so you can ride him that way. Before you had to take your time, he was very immature and you had to get him doing things right. The penny has really dropped with him now and I just felt from a good draw I didn't want to complicate things. If something wanted to go I was more than happy to take a lead but he covers a nice bit of ground so I just let him roll away. Shane (Foley) came late and I was a little bit worried he might have nailed me. If he was going to beat me he was going to be flashing there, as if he came to me half a furlong out he probably would have battled him off. My dad trains at home and he got the trainers' license out last year. It was something he always wanted to do, we have always had horses in training and he rides him out every morning himself. He's doing a great job and he loves it.

I rode him work myself on Tuesday like I normally do and I was very confident that he had come on from the last run,. We'll stick to coming up here between seven furlongs and a mile, and look for something again in three weeks time. It's brilliant. I don't even give Ross instructions and he just rides him as he finds him. We're very lucky. Michael Ryan gave him to us as a present two years ago when Johnny Murtagh trained him. We're very grateful to him. He's a family pet. At home my wife looks after him and he's the kindest horse. He's out there with an old horse that Ger Lyons used to train, In Theory. The two of them are buddies and they are out in the field all day long. He just seems to be thriving now and hopefully it'll continue. Hopefully he'll keep going for the winter and keep improving.

That's brilliant. It's my first winner from four runners,. We were lucky as we would have been sticking to six and seven furlongs only there was nothing for him. We might have discovered by accident that his best trip is a mile. Denis Cullen trained three winners for us with Table Forty Six and Ross rode them but this is the first one I've trained.
